Car accident in Tile City, 10/3/16
A Police car slid off of a slippery road today and crashed into a mud pile. Engine 40, Command 40, and Medic 40 were dispatched to the scene. On arrival, they found the Police officer standing outside of the vehicle, dazed but okay. Command 40 contacted the Police department and advised them of the damage, while the crew from Engine 40 prepared to inspect the vehicle for any smoking or leaking fluids.
After the inspection was complete, the Paramedics examined the Police officer for injuries. On finding none, Brush 40 was dispatched to pull the vehicle out of the mud. The Officer wrote a report on the accident and left.
Shortly after, all units were returned to quarters.

Heart attack in Tile City, 1/11/17
A woman called 911 at about 100:30 today to report that her friend was having chest pains. Engine 40 and Medic 40 were dispatched to the scene.
On arrival, a Police officer that had arrived earlier led the firefighters to the victim, who was sitting on a pier in the busiest part of the city.
The engine crew provided basic first aid while the paramedics set up a heart monitor and an IV.
After calming the victims friend, the patient was strapped on to a stretcher and brought back to the ambulance.
At 11:45, the ambulance departed with the victim and friend for the hospital. At 11:50, Engine 40 also left, while the police officer stayed for a while longer to fill out paperwork.
The entire scene was cleared at 11:57 AM.
